![]() "I think, therefore I am".Īs for all of the tech breaking down, I might be completely wrong about this, but I think it's because it was all stolen. Otherwise you wouldn't get Gardeners like Sym who want to protect humanity. And it's not like they're one all of one mind. Sure most of the Gardeners are just data in a big alien super computer but that doesn't mean that humans have more of a right to keep existing. The array ending is pretty much genocide. I'm sorry but I have to strongly disagree. Think of how much knowledge will be lost when Congruence goes kaput.Īnd humanity will grow weaker and weaker with every generation with more technology and knowledge lost.īut yea, that is why I think the Disconnect the Array ending is the best ending. No one will be allowed to mine anything, no one will be allowed to build factories. Agreeing to keep humans in a human preserve pretty much guarantees it. One of the things in the game is that technology is breaking down due to lack of infrastructure to maintain it. Making peace with the gardeners pretty much dooms humanity to stagnation. While you are avoiding an endless war, you are going at the cost of freedom. While it's outwardly hopeful, contains a lot things which give me the hibbie-jeebies. The ending which that game tries to portray as the better ending, making peace with the gardeners. My reasoning is that with the Disconnect the Array ending you win humanity's freedom from an old AI that is pretty much running MAINTAIN_ENVIRONMENT.exe as well as avoiding an endless war against an entire planet. ![]() In my opinion the best ending is the Disconnect the Array ending where you upload a virus and kill the AI.Įven though you don't really get a proper epilogue and Anemone breaks up with you.
